Finding a reasonably priced RC plane has never been easier. However, the problem is figuring out which model is the best from the hundreds that are currently available. If you are searching for radio control planes for beginners, there are some things that you should know.

As a beginner, you will probably want to get a plane and get used to flying it. This means that you should find one which is maneuverable and damage-resistant. Very small planes are not recommended in this case, so you should probably go for a middle sized aircraft. There are two important facts about radio control planes for beginners: they need to be strong and they need to have enough spare parts for a few crashes. Even if your particular model doesn’t come with spare parts, you should make sure that finding a new propeller or landing gear is not that difficult. Some of the best RC airplanes for beginners are made from a special material which can be glued back in case of an accident.

If your plane is expensive and doesn’t come with spare parts, you should try your best not to crash it. This is somewhat difficult, but not impossible. A reasonably priced aircraft can take a couple of crashes without getting damaged and if you don’t experiment with landings until you absolutely have to, you will have enough time to get used to your new plane.

Radio control planes for beginners are not that different from normal RC aircraft. Some of them are a little bit stronger and easier to fix, but everything else is the same. If you want to find the best plane for you, just think about how much you are willing to spend and start searching for the one which fits your budget.

Some of these radio controlled airplanes take a lot of space and many people think that they would never get to use it.

Contrary to popular belief, RC planes don’t need a large runway to take off. In fact, most of the small and medium sized models can start flying after less than 100 feet. This means that you can take your airplane to any park and enjoy an afternoon of flying.

If you are not a fan of parks or open spaces, you can always search for a RC plane which takes off straight from your hands. These radio controlled airplanes come at the same price as regular planes, but you can simply hold them in one hand and start the engine with the other one. They will take off immediately after just a simple push from your part. After you learn exactly how to fly these planes, you will be able to catch them before they land. After you get used to this type of plane, you will surely find enough time to go out and experiment with larger aircraft which need more room to fly. This will quickly become a hobby no matter what you decide to do: get a plane which can be used in any location or find a large aircraft for special occasions.

This means that all you need is time. If you want to relax and improve your flying skills, you can always start the engine of your RC plane and take it for a flight around the block. Radio controlled airplanes are easy to maintain and flying one is much more entertaining than it seems.

Many people like flying and the easiest way of becoming a pilot is to purchase some RC model airplane kits. Before you go out to the nearest shop you should take a few minutes and learn a few things about these kits.

First, you need to identify your needs. If this is your first model airplane kit, you should try buying one which is resistant to crashes. There are quite a few aircraft out there which are specifically designed to withstand rough landings. Your first model airplane should have the propellers located somewhere above the airplane. This is the safest setup possible since the propellers are the most sensitive part of the airplane. Some of these RC model airplane kits come with a lot of spare parts, which is great for a beginner.

If you already know how to fly a radio controlled airplane, you have to look at other specifications. You should search for a plane which can reach higher altitudes or fly for a longer durations before it needs to be recharged. Some of these aircraft only last for about 15 minutes before you have to change the battery, so getting a model which can fly for more than half an hour without interruption will certainly improve your flying experience.

Another good thing to keep an eye out for is spare parts in general. Some models look and fly great, but if you happen to hit a tree or crash on your landing, you will have to invest more in repairs than you did in the plane. You should find a mixture between the cost of the plane and the cost and availability of spare parts for that particular model.

In the end, you can always search RC model airplane kits online. This way, you will be able to take a look at all of your options and pick the best one for your particular situation.

You’re probably familiar with the idea of flying an RC airplane, but did you realize that you can actually fly radio-controlled jet planes? As you might imagine, they aren’t exactly beginner fare on the RC menu. But with the right amount of experience, they can be an incredible amount of fun.

The usual choice for getting started in RC jet flying is the electric ducted fan, or EDF model. The propulsions system centers on a multi-bladed propeller that spins at extremely high RPM. The propeller forces air at high speed and pressure into a funnel-shaped unit to generate thrust. The market is starting to see a few EDF RC jets in ready-to-fly kits, but most models still require some work before getting into the air. While this design is certainly not for the first time flier, anyone who has some hours flying conventional RC planes should be able to handle the EDF RC jet.

Believe it or not, there are actually people flying true gas turbine jet models using radio control. This activity may be something to which you can aspire, but you better have lots of cash stashed away. These hard-core RC modelers easily put over a thousand dollars into the scale jet aircraft itself, without considering radio gear and controllers. Flying these top-end models takes lots of skill, and you don’t get second chances on bad landings.

Some experts recommend starting with a “pusher” RC jet. The pusher design incorporates a propeller behind the main aircraft body. Although this doesn’t give the look of a jet airplane, the operation and flight characteristics are very similar. This is the perfect way to get started on the path to flying model jet aircraft via radio control.

If you have some apprehension about moving in this direction, you might want to consider getting a flight simulator. You can find several versions of PC flight simulator software that will let you hook up an actual radio control transmitter and get used to controlling various types of aircraft before you actually put your money on the runway.
